Modern Meditation is an easy, practical way to learn how to relax and meditate.

Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years by religions and cultures of the world. It was originally developed as a way of moving closer to the divine. In Buddhism, it was a way to become more aware of the true mind, recognizing the illusion of the ordinary mind we in the west would call "mind chatter"

In Christianity, Judaism, Islam and world religions, it is seen as prayer and communion with God and our divine nature, now separated by the material world.

Meditation has become a part of our lives in the west since the sixties. People want to find a way to become closer to the divine and also to handle the tremendous stresses in today's world.

In our world of fast-paced pressure, anxiety, violence and uncertainty, we are looking for ways not only to cope, but find clarity, peace, an answer to so many of the challenges we face on the planet today.

Meditation is one of the great tools we can use to help us find answers, gain equilibrium, accept what we cannot change and deal with living in the world. It can help bring you closer to the precious things of life and wean out what is not important.

Meditation has also helped to lower blood pressure, help anxiety, lessen pain stress, depression, sleeplessness, and help you deal with all the things life sends your way. I started meditating 22 years ago. I had small children, lots of anxiety and responsibility and challenges. I wanted something to help me in my daily life and my desire to grow closer to the divine.

After many years of trial and practice, I developed this new three step method of meditation. I have been teaching it with good results and now can offer the teaching in a CD format.

It is simple, easy to use and effective, no matter what your level of experience is. You can use this secular method as a complement to your religious or spiritual practice.

You can spend as little as 15 minutes a day and see results. This is a practice you can use anywhere, anytime, everyday or a few times a week. The more you use it, the better it works for you.

The method consists of three steps, which the CD will guide you through. There is original music which will help you to relax and learn the method. Once you learn it, you will find it easy to recall and practice.

Here are the steps:

  1. Relaxing the Body - You will learn a simple body scan which will help you relax and de-stress your body and improve your breath.
  2. Calming the Mind - You will learn how to stop the mind chatter and have clearer thought and focus.
  3. Freeing the Spirit - You will learn how to let go and reach that quiet place where better decisions and choices can be made.
